The playing area is measured between the cushion noses. The table’s overall footprint also includes the rails and cabinet. A 7-foot label alone does not establish either measurement for every model, so check both for the table you select.
One 7ft planning example uses a 76 × 38-inch playing area. This is an illustrative industry reference, not a measurement or certification of every BAIYU table.
Using that example with a 58-inch cue on each side gives a geometric starting area of 192 × 154 inches, or 16 ft × 12 ft 10 in. This covers cue length only. Allow additional room for the backswing, players, furniture and circulation, and use the actual playing area and cue length for your project.
For a folding or multi-game table, also allow space to change the table’s position or function. Measure storage locations, doorways and the route into the room separately.
